Terms of Service
Last updated: July 25, 2026
In short: DevSafar is a free platform for discovering hackathons. You agree to use it responsibly, provide accurate information when listing events, and respect other community members.
Welcome to DevSafar. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DevSafar platform, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). DevSafar is a hackathon discovery and aggregation platform operated from Global. By creating an account or using DevSafar, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use DevSafar. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. By using DevSafar, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features — such as tracking hackathons, listing events, finding teammates, and messaging — you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately through the Contact Developer option in the app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. User Roles
3.1 Users
All registered members are Users. Users can browse and discover hackathons, track event deadlines, find and message potential teammates, save events to their personal tracker, and access official event pages through our platform.
3.2 Contributors
Any registered user can become a Contributor by listing a hackathon on DevSafar. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy of the event details they submit, including event name, dates, prize information, deadlines, eligibility criteria, and rules. All submitted listings are subject to review by the DevSafar team before being published. DevSafar reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing at its sole discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use DevSafar for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You must not:
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent event information
Impersonate any person, organization, or hackathon
Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on intellectual property rights
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the platform without written permission
Interfere with the operation, performance, or security of the Service
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 DevSafar Content
All content, branding, logos, designs, and software that make up the DevSafar platform are owned by DevSafar and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without our prior written consent.
5.2 User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to DevSafar, including event listings, profile information, and messages. By posting content on DevSafar, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content solely in connection with the operation of the Service.
6. Hackathon Information and Disputes
DevSafar is a discovery and aggregation platform. All hackathons listed on DevSafar are organized and operated by independent third-party entities — not by DevSafar itself. DevSafar does not act as an organizer, sponsor, judge, or guarantor of any event listed on the platform.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of listed information, but we cannot guarantee that all event details are current or complete. We are not responsible for disputes regarding prizes, judging, registration, or event outcomes. Users are encouraged to verify event details on the official event page and contact event organizers directly for any concerns.
7. Limitation of Liability
DevSafar is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DevSafar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the platform or other users. You may request deletion of your account at any time through the Contact Developer option in the app.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
9. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We may modify, update, or discontinue any part of DevSafar at any time without prior notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the platform. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
